한양대학교 물리탐사 연구실(RISE.ML Lab.)은 에너지 자원 및 광물 자원의 안정적 확보를 통한 지속적 경제성장 및 국민생활 안정을 목적으로 설립되어, 이와 관련된 물리탐사 핵심원천기술의 개발과 전문인력의 양성을 수행하고 있습니다. 나아가 전세계적 화두인 기후변화에 대응하기 위한 물리탐사 응용기술도 함께 연구하고 있습니다.

현재 4차 산업혁명과 함께 각광을 받고 있는 머신러닝 기술을 접목하여 저류층 규명을 위한 정량적 탄성파 해석, 탄성파 탐사 자료 처리 및 영상화, 심부 지열 발전, 이산화탄소 지중저장 및 스마트 시티접목을 위한 수동 송신원 기반 탐사 모니터링, 광체 영상화를 위한 전자탐사자료 역산에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 본 연구실은 국내 기업과의 공동연구 및 산· 학· 연 교류 세미나 등을 통해 산업계의 다양한 기술 수요를 충족시키고 있으며, 국외 학회 부스를 통한 홍보 및 국내외 기업들의 후원 및 협력을 통해 글로벌 경쟁력 강화에 앞장설 수 있는 국제 컨소시움(RISE.ML consortium)을 진행하고 있습니다.
